Kids Try Golf

The Sawmill Junior Golf Foundation is thrilled to again present "Intro to Golf" lessons for kids.  The 2025 program is funded by The Stephen Ames Foundation.  Without the financial support of PGA professional golfer Stephen, and his wife Kelly, this program would not be possible.  Thank you to the Stephen Ames Foundation for their support in our quest to grow the game.  

Kevin Niznik, PGA of Canada professional, and assistant Mason Hildebrandt will teach your young golfer the basics in the hopes of sparking an interest in golf.  We welcome children from around the Niagara Region. 

2025 Details  

*Lesson times are 1pm - 2:30pm (90 minutes). BBQ lunch and drink to follow. 
*Kids will learn putting, chipping, and driving (full swing).
*Your child can participate in a maximum of TWO Kids Try Golf Days throughout the summer.
*For boys and girls, ages 7 to 13 (birth years 2012 to 2018).
*This is NOT for kids currently registered in any golf lessons or camps at Sawmill.
*Golf clubs are provided by Sawmill for use during the lesson.  Just bring your child, running shoes, and a water bottle!
*Cost is $10 (tax included) per session.  *Includes the lesson, hot dog/burger, and a drink!  

2025 Dates

Registration will open on Monday, February 24th at 8am.  Registration link will be posted here. 

- Registrations will be received on a first come, first serve basis.  
- You will receive an automated confirmation email upon successfully registering.
- Your child's first name and last initial (eg. Cindy S) will be posted next to the session that you signed up for.  
- Registrations are non-refundable.
