Adult Competitive Teams

We have 3 opportunities for adult competition for our Members - the Niagara Solheim; the Niagara Ryder Cup; the Senior Men’s Ryder Cup.

Ladies’ Solheim
*Your 2024 Captain: Karen Vine
*You MUST hold a Golf Canada Handicap (maximum of 28.6 handicap index) to play.
*Team Compostion: 4 ladies and 1 Alternate.  The 2023 Sawmill Ladies Club Champion (Donna Larsen) is guaranteed a spot.
*Requirements: 

• must play in at least 3 out of 4 events
• at every event you are required to pay for mandatory power cart and stay for a drink and dinner IF available.  Golf & social piece are equally important.
• purchase a Team Shirt (approx $30-$35)

*Event Schedule: We are in Division III: NOTL - May 5th / Sawmill June 2nd / Freedom Oaks July 7th / Twenty Valley Aug 25th
*Qualifier details will be emailed by your Captain once we determine how many ladies are interested.

Men’s Ryder Cup
*Your 2024 Captain: Jeremy Julie
*You MUST hold a Golf Canada Handicap to play.
*Your 2023 Sawmill Men's Club Champion (Mike Woodhouse) is guaranteed a spot.
*Team Compostion: *6 men (+Jeremy & Mike) and 1 alternate.
*Requirements: 

• at every event you are required to pay for mandatory power cart and $20 skins at every event.
• purchase a Team Shirt (approx $30-$35)
• NOTE: if our team loses their first "home and home" match we are done for the year. 

*Event Schedule: We have no details around competition dates.
*Qualifier: Saturday May 11th

SENIOR Men’s Ryder Cup
*Your 2024 Captain: Brian Matuch
*Your 2023 Sawmill Sr Men's Club Champion (Kerry McRoberts) is guaranteed a spot.
*Team Compostion: *6 men (+ Brian & Kerry) and 1 alternate.
NOTE: Team MUST include 6 senior players (55 & over) and 2 super senior players (age 65 and over).
*Requirements: 

• must play in at least 3 out of 4 events
• at every event you are required to pay for mandatory power cart and dinner.  Golf & social piece are equally important.
• purchase a Team Shirt (approx $30-$35)

*Event Schedule: Blue Springs June 17th / Willodell June 25 / Greens at Renton July 9th /  Sawmill July 29 / Beverly August (TBD)
*Qualifier:  Monday May 13th (tee-times at 11am).
